The Frequency of the Tradition

Q. I always remember the presence in the room the time you took me to G's house after his death, when we meditated in his front room. Like roses, permeating, love, powerful but soft, clear and utterly refreshing. And I also remember noticing this at times in Wales for the long courses.

This same quality was there when I sat with my new meditator, and it surprised me...as it couldn't have much to do with either hers or my personal energies or power, which I know both have quite different flavors. ...So I put it down to 'the tradition'...it being the frequency of the tradition.

But why does it show up when there are more than just me? Is it like the gospel principle 'whenever there are two or more people gathered in My Name, there I am'?

But that doesn't make sense, as surely the tradition should come through in my private meditation as well? Or is it that my attention and tuning into that tradition, representing it, as I stepped into the role of the meditation checker with this meditator, activated something in a different way than when I meditate as myself?

A. There isn’t much I can add to this. You’ve answered your own questions!

But Truth is present if it resonates truthfully, and in the process should generate more questions...
