My Story
-
Moved from Australia to England in 1972, settled in Oxford, and spent six years on an Ethnology diploma and D.Phil research at Oxford University, specializing specifically in sacred symbolism.
-
1975 met the inspirational figure who is the subject of my second book Tessellations. He was the foundational guiding teacher of the Saros Foundation for the Perpetuation of Knowledge which allowed small, dedicated working groups to practice systematic inner work based on lines derived from the Western esoteric tradition.
-
Left academia to experience the living roots of the esoteric tradition rather than just studying them academically, and balanced meditative training and other Work with raising two children in suburban London.
-
Teaching non-denominational style of meditation for decades, helping students ground their physical, emotional, and intellectual awareness.
-
Published The Meditator's Guidebook: Pathways to Greater Awareness & Creativity, in 1991.
-
Decades later, Tessellations: Patterns of Life and Death in the Company of a Master (2020) described the lived reality of an authentic esoteric path. Rather than treating mysticism as a purely abstract or theoretical concept, the book shows how to ground it in the physical world through 40 years of personal experience.
-
At the age of 72, I found forgotten exercise books stashed under the stairs containing detailed journals from my Oxford days. This resulted in The Diaries of a Young Mystic (2024) which functions as an intimate chronicle of that transitional soul-searching period in the 1970s.
