Searching for your Inner Core

Q. I’ve searched for my ‘core’, as you suggested,* but although I can sense something, I can’t locate anything specific I could call a core.

A. The act of searching or directing your attention is both means and resolution. In other words, by searching you are setting co-ordinates which define a space, pinpoint a potency, but there is no ‘hard object’ to find.

It is an act of locating the boundless. The core is without dimension, but a defining force none the less.

Perhaps the metaphor of ‘core’ has associations with apple-cores (note the seeds—generative) or some kind of hard lump! But a core can also be an empty space round which matter accumulates or rather, from which it generates (the early development of an embryo curls round a space), or liquid fire ( the centre of the earth).

So your core is the generative space from which all your particular manifestations come into expression. It takes warmth to generate, the power of fire, symbolically speaking, hence the ‘embers’ we talked about is a good metaphor. Inherent is the potential to blaze up into energy or manifestation.

Q. What makes it ‘my’ core then, if it has no characteristics? Surely it will be the same for or in everyone?

A. Yes, but everyone is looking for it from within a different aggregate of characteristics, (ie. Me ) so everyone initially has a different view. You import a view onto phenomena, as it were, and see through it. Just basic science—the observer effect etc.

Viewpoint rules the mind, accounting for all the conflict in the conscious universe: - what we see is generated from where we are, utilising the power of the core.

Only when we turn right round and search directly for where this generative power comes from does a common view emerge: no-thing. It is a universal view, perhaps the only one there is…..

But as you are looking from your aggregate of individual characteristics, it is your core, your view, and the warmth of the embers is felt in your being.

These musings are responses to a context, a time, a place, a query. Another time, another context. An angle slightly different, a different response, perhaps seemingly in contradiction.

But Truth is present if it resonates truthfully, and in the process should generate more questions...
